About The Outdoor Sports Company
Sports and training equipment that sets up in minutes, shipped across the UK.
Why this range, and why these products
Almost nobody buying sports equipment for home has a court, a pitch or a spare room. They have a lawn, a driveway, a garage or a hall, and about twenty minutes.
So we look for equipment that turns one of those into a game or a training session, without building anything and, wherever possible, without tools at all.
Chosen for the problem, not the catalogue
The range is deliberately narrow. Each product is here because it answers a specific problem: a net that suits three games, a beam that gives a child the width without the height, a bag that arrives filled, a mat that folds into a wardrobe.
A good part of it needs no tools at all, which matters when the equipment has to come out and go away again the same evening.
Being straight about what things do
Ratings on this site are the manufacturer's, and we say what they apply to. A gym ring rated to 225 kg is a statement about the ring, not about the beam you hang it from. A junior bar rated to 60 kg is telling you it is children's equipment. A weight index on a vaulting pole is a safety limit rather than a preference. And where a product is not what a search result implies, like a utility rope that is not certified climbing equipment, we say so on the page and accept the lost sale.
How we work
We are an online shop with no physical premises, which is how the prices stay where they are. You order on this site, pay by card through Stripe or by PayPal, and we ship across the UK. Delivery is free on orders of £75 or more, and a flat £25 under that, arriving 5-7 days after a 24-48 hour handling time.
Not sure whether something fits your space, or suits the age and level of the person using it? Email us before you order at theteam@myoutdoorsports.co.uk and a real person will help, usually within one working day.
We run country stores in several markets selling the same range. If you are outside the UK, start at our company hub, outdoorsports.company.
What we sell
Three categories
Sports nets, fitness and gymnastics equipment, and accessories including complete sets.
Mostly no tools
Nets with no stakes, goals that pop up, a beam that unrolls and a bar that folds in seconds.
The number that decides it
Every product page names the one figure that matters: net height, bag weight, pole index, or the floor space a table needs.
Rated, not guessed
Load and weight figures are the manufacturer's, and we state what each one applies to rather than leaving it in small print.
Frequently asked questions
Who are The Outdoor Sports Company?
A UK online sports equipment store, a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, with UK administration in Newbury, Berkshire.
Are you a shop I can visit?
No, we sell online and ship across the UK.
How long have you been selling?
The store has been trading online for several years and this site is its current home.
Are you part of a group?
Yes. There are sister stores for Ireland and Canada and a company site at outdoorsports.company.
Where does the stock come from?
A mix of our own warehoused stock and supplier fulfilled lines. Either way the order comes from us and we handle it.
Who do I speak to if something goes wrong?
Email theteam@myoutdoorsports.co.uk. A person reads it, and we answer every enquiry.
Do you do wholesale?
Yes, there is a wholesale page for quotes on bulk and club orders.
Do you supply schools and clubs?
Yes, regularly, and the tackle bags, gymnastics kit and training sets are the lines they buy most.
Why does the site say what some products are not for?
Because two of them are safety adjacent and it would be easy to let a customer assume the wrong thing. We would rather lose a sale than have someone abseil on a utility rope.
Are your load figures yours or the manufacturer's?
The manufacturer's, and we say what each one applies to.
Everything we promise is written down:
